About Amy

Senior Recital Announcement - Copy1I am a composer, arranger, and engraver in the LA area who has been composing since 2011.  Currently, I am a senior composition major at The Master’s College and will be graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Music Composition and Theory on May 8, 2015.

Having a passion for all music, my composing began officially in high school and has continued ever since.  My first composition, The Awakening, was written for full orchestra and recorded by the Grace Baptist Symphony Praise Orchestra.  It was with this piece that I won a composition scholarship to attend Master’s and launched my career as a music composer.

A homeschooler all the way through high school, I was self-taught in music throughout my middle school and high school years which sparked in me a love for music at an early age.  I play a variety of instruments including handbells (my favorite!), piano, viola, and percussion.  I also love singing in the college choir and, especially, in quartets with my three sisters.

I am a Christ follower and love serving my Lord through composing.  My favorite verse is Psalm 40:3 – “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.”

Most recently, my involvement includes:

  • Planning, organizing, managing, and writing the music for a Stories in Music concertAmy Mack Narrating The Light Princess Smaller
